Why energEA
-
Climate, control and management
Climate control, ventilation and control and management systems (home automation and BMS).
-
Wellness, spa and pools
Sauna, hammam, cold plunge, spa and pool designed together with the climate system, so each space has its own temperature and air, with no last-minute add-ons.

Since 2014
Made-to-measure projects and a technical service that is still there once the installation is finished.
01 · HVAC
Climate and comfort
Climate control, air renewal and domestic hot water (DHW) production, in a single project.
-
Air-based climate control
Split, ducted, VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) and fan coil systems built into ceilings and joinery, with units barely seen or heard.
-
Heat pumps
Heating, cooling and hot water from a single system that draws its energy from the air or the ground.
-
Underfloor coolingUnderfloor heating
A cool floor in summer, using the same underfloor heating circuit. No units on show.In winter, warmth rises from the floor and spreads evenly through the room, with no radiators or draughts.
-
Air renewal
Clean air in every room and humidity under control, with the windows closed. With heat recovery, the house is ventilated without losing its warmth or its coolness.
-
Plumbing and hot water
The complete water installation and domestic hot water, using a heat pump, chiller, water heater or whichever system best suits each project.

Tap a scene and watch the plan.
Choose an idea to see how the system takes care of it.
I want the house to shade itself from the sun
- Blinds come down when the sun hits the façade full on.
- With a wind and rain sensor, awnings retract on their own.
- In the morning, blinds rise at the time you set.
I want every room at its own temperature
- Each bedroom with its own temperature and schedule.
- With presence detectors, empty rooms switch to energy-saving mode.
- Adjust the climate from your phone, even when you’re away.
I want the pool ready for a swim
- Check and change the water temperature from your phone.
- Heat the water only on the days and at the times it’s used.
- Pool filtration and lighting, each on its own schedule.
I want the sauna ready when I get home
- Switch on the sauna or spa from your phone before you arrive.
- Automatic switch-off once the set time is up.
- A scene that dims the lights and starts the ventilation.
I want to change the mood at the touch of a button
- Scenes such as ‘Dinner’ or ‘Night’ that set lights, blinds and climate at once.
- At night, soft path lighting when someone walks by.
- Outdoor lights come on at dusk and go off at the time you set.
I want to leave the house without a second thought
- One command on the way out switches off the lights, lowers the blinds and sets the climate to away.
- With window contacts, a phone alert if one has been left open.
- Before you head back, switch on the climate so the house is just right.
What you don’t see is designed too. And enjoyed.
Wellbeing is the new luxury.
03 · Wellbeing
Wellness, spa and pools
We design made-to-measure wellness spaces, built around your post-workout routine and the end of the day.
Sauna, cold plunge and hot-cold contrast help improve performance and recovery.
-
Dry heat in the sauna or steam in the hammam (Turkish bath), at the temperature and humidity you prefer, in a well-ventilated cabin.
Benefits and use: Saunas and hammams
After exercise
- Part of many athletes’ recovery routine [3]
- Time in the heat to loosen up
- Followed by a cold plunge, the contrast many athletes look for
Based on published studies, some of them still small. See sources.
There are few studies on sauna after exercise and they are not yet conclusive. On hammams, almost none.
Typical use
- Dry sauna at 80 to 100 °C, for 5 to 20 minutes, starting with short sessions. [1]
- After training, wait for your heart rate to settle, drink water and avoid alcohol. [1][2]

A gentler heat than a sauna, warming the body more than the air. In a cabin or with panels, for those who prefer a milder sweat.
Benefits and use: Infrared
After exercise
- Gentle heat, part of many recovery routines
- For anyone who finds a sauna too intense
Based on published studies, some of them still small. See sources.
The evidence is limited and more research is needed.
Typical use
- Cabins at 35 to 60 °C, sessions of 15 to 30 minutes. [1][2]
- Drink water and step out if you feel dizzy or unwell.

Cold water ready whenever you want it, at the temperature you choose, with its own chiller and its own water treatment.
Benefits and use: Cold plunge
After exercise
- One of the most studied recovery methods among athletes [1][2][3]
- Linked with feeling more recovered the next day [2]
- A moment to clear your head
Based on published studies, some of them still small. See sources.
Typical use
- Water at 11 to 15 °C, starting with dips of under a minute and building up slowly. [1][4]
- Get in slowly and keep your head above water, as cold water can upset the heart’s rhythm. [5][6]
- If you train to build muscle, avoid using it straight after every strength session. [7]

Warm water at the end of the day in a spa built on site to measure, with the room’s air and humidity controlled to prevent condensation.
Benefits and use: Bespoke spas and hot tubs
After exercise
- Alternated with cold water, a contrast widely used for recovery [2][3]
- A warm bath before bed is linked with falling asleep sooner [1]
Based on published studies, some of them still small. See sources.
Warm water on its own has not shown a clear effect on recovery.
Typical use
- Up to 40 °C (36 °C in public spas), soaks of about 10 minutes. [1][4][5]
- For contrast, alternate a few minutes in each, several times. [2]
- No alcohol. If pregnant, 38 °C at most and only on medical advice. [4]

More months of swimming each year. A reversible heat pump warms the water when it turns cool and cools it when the heat sets in.
Benefits and use: Pool heating and cooling
After exercise
- An easy swim after hard exercise, a common form of active recovery [1]
- With the water at a comfortable temperature, swimming at home becomes an easier habit
- More months of swimming each year
Based on published studies, some of them still small. See sources.
Studies look at active recovery in general, not only in water.
Typical use
- At an easy pace, without pushing.
- Water at 24 to 30 °C, and drink water when swimming too, as you still sweat in the pool. [2]

Engineering built into the architecture.
HVAC, control and wellness engineering.
We have been designing building services since 2014. We calculate thermal loads, flow rates and distribution networks, and size every unit to the real needs of the building.
We integrate the services into the architecture from the design stage. Routes, plant spaces and the position of equipment and terminals are defined before work starts on site.
We install, commission and maintain what we design, with a single technical lead throughout the service life of the installation.
